Reporting to: Delivery Manager, Software Development

Responsibilities

Designing, enhancements, maintenance and support across a range of client specific and cross-platform integrations and Platform Public APIs with a focus on backend solutions development. (XR Public API, XR Platform integrations, XMG Custom client- and cross-platform integrations, A5 Public API, Internal Services and applications (Public and SQS Broker, middle tiers, Engine room) Design, enhancement, and maintenance of a suite of backend services and Public APIs to support business functionality and scalability Drive continuous improvement of services through proactive support activities ensuring stability Carry software products through the software development life cycle (SDLC) Write clean, concise and e?cient code with comprehensive unit tests Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code Perform code debugging and troubleshooting Manage code documentation and version control Oversee various projects and drive enhancements in the development process to improve efficiency Collaborate with Team members, Architects, DevOps, SRE, Support and Business Stakeholders to understand a business problem and requirements Participate in on-call rotation to respond to production issue

Job Qualifications and Skill Sets

MS/BS in Computer Science, software engineering or related background preferred 5+ years of strong experience in full stack web development with a greater focus on backend development Expert level C# and ASP.NET Core Excellent experience of the JavaScript language (ES6+) but with a greater focus on the Node.js context in particular Proven capabilities in developing services or any sort of backend code with NodeJS Excellent knowledge of HTTP REST Protocols with JSON, authentication (OAuth 2.0, JWT), and authorization mechanisms Working knowledge of Typescript, OO and functional programming principles in software development Ability to design and build optimized, scalable and reliable backend applications Code debugging, writing end to end and comprehensive unit testing Ability to profile CPU and analyse stack traces to find issues and debug applications Strong knowledge of Databases (SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch, MySQL, MSSQL) Good knowledge of engineering and architecture principles Good knowledge of the AWS stack and its tools Good knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes Good knowledge of queuing systems (like EventBridge, AMQ, Kafka, etc). Experience with AzureRepos Knowledge of Azure DevOps Pipelines Knowledge of monitoring tools (DataDog, AWS CloudWatch) Ability to interact with technical and non-technical people to explain new features or issues that may occur Look for opportunities to use or create standards and frameworks to improve the overall quality of developed software Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to rationally debate the pros and cons of various solution options Ability to build credible good relationships with managers, team members and internal and external stakeholders Must be able to adapt to rapid changing technology, priorities and business requirements A desire to expand your technology horizon by learning new frameworks and languages Experience with agile development methodologies Fluent in English

Pay: RM14,000.00 - RM16,000.00 per month
