Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer on a contract basis to lead the design, development, and support of financial reporting systems. This role involves working closely with the Finance team to translate business requirements into effective dashboards, reports, and data models, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and month-end activities.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement Power BI solutions across the full SDLC.
• Build and maintain ETL processes, data flows, dashboards, and reports.
• Apply advanced-level DAX calculations and data modeling techniques.
• Implement row-level security and manage application security layers in Power BI.
• Collaborate with Finance to understand requirements and develop tailored reporting solutions.
• Support financial systems for budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, especially during critical month-end cycles.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of functional and technical specifications.
• Ensure code and solution documentation aligns with industry best practices.
• Identify risks and recommend process improvements.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI and DAX.
• Proven experience managing Power BI project lifecycles.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting concepts.
• Familiarity with SAP applications is a plus.
• Experience with other BI tools (e.g., IBM TM1 Cognos) is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to document both financial and technical designs effectively.
• Willingness to be on-call for application support outside office hours.
