. You are responsible for ensuring client's utility-scale solar and BESS projects are technically viable and compliant with Malaysia's national grid requirements. You will be the primary technical point of contact for TNB / GSO during the interconnection process
Key Responsibilities
Grid Impact Studies (GIS):
Conduct comprehensive simulations including Load Flow, Short Circuit and Contingency Analysis.
Stability Analysis:
Perform Transient Stability analysis to ensure the plant remains stable during grid disturbances
Harmonic & Power Quality:
Model and mitigate harmonic injections to meet TNB's stringent power quality standards
Software Mastery:
Utilize industry-standard tools like PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory or ETAP
Compliance:
Prepare and submit technical reports for interconnection applications
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems focus)
Proven experience in performing Grid Impact Studies for Large Scale Solar (LSS) or CRESS projects in Malaysia
Advanced proficiency in PSS/E or DIgSILENT is mandatory
Deep understanding of the Malaysian Grid Code and GSO requirements
