Position Summary

Principal Responsibilities

• Responsible for troubleshooting, maintain day-to-day and general preventative maintenance for all machines and equipment in Silicone Molding. Electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic machinery responsibilities will be a primary functionality.
• Assist process engineer and the moulding operations to improve change over and response times to processing and/or production needs to improve/ reduce machine downtime.
• Assist in the achievement of the moulding department goals regarding to product quality and process control standards.
• Maintains a safe work environment in keeping with 5S and general housekeeping principles. Performs a variety of cleaning and general maintenance tasks as necessary.
• Provide input and obtain information to and from data terminal. Prepare the daily machine downtime report if required.
• Participate the preventive maintenance and periodic checks on assigned equipment as instructed.
• Observe specific parts of equipment and materials in process to determine or analyse the cause of machine malfunctions. Repair and/or make any necessary adjustments to equipment to obtain desired operating results.
• Maintain all related process documents as per ISO requirements.
• To perform any other duties as and when directed by the superior/ management
• Perform any other relevant and related responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time as required by superior.

Education / Experience Requirements

• Diploma/ Certificate in Mechanical/ Mechatronic/ Machinery or Plastic Engineering
• 5 years and above hands-on experience in machinery, plastic molding process and electrical. Experience as a process / maintenance technician in molding industry is preferred.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

• Must be able to communicate (written and verbal) in English and Malay language.
• Good troubleshooting skills in Silicone or Plastic Injection Molding (vertical/ horizontal).
• Versatile in running Silicone (LSR) Molding Machine, Injection Molding Machine and Vertical Injection Molding machine.
• Knowledgeable in mechanical drawing, pneumatic diagram, hydraulic diagram will be an advantage.
• Ability to hands-on in machinery maintenance task is required to be a competent molding maintenance technician.
• Able to manage all spare part as per required through good spare part management.
• Good communication skills enable the technician to exchange machinery/ process ideas with engineer/ superior.
• Able to develop new process parameters for new products.
