Purpose Statement

This role will support the business by bringing in depth knowledge and development skill of data modeling, centralized database, and advanced analytics in finance area; s/he will investigate various systems and data in global/region/countries and develop / support the development the integrated database and management solution with IT team; s/he will work o improve system performance and deliver more insightful information in finance area to the right people at the right time for the better decision making; From time to time the scope of activities may change as the project evolves and a flexible and agile mindset is expected throughout the project

Key Responsibilities

• Propose the best digital solution to optimize the reporting and planning process and generate insightful analytics in finance area based on the understanding of all regional and country reports through active communication with all internal cross-country customers.
• Inspect the data in various systems in the region and countries and cleansing, combining, transforming, modeling data to be used as the centralized database.
• Evaluate external data sources with related statistics like demographics for medical industry including population, CPI, GDP, interest rate, aging, OECD index, etc. (especially APAC countries) which are the macro indicators for the business case, analytics and strategy development, and setup/automate database to be used.
• Develop and maintain the documentation for the processes and integrated database
• Work with IT to setup security control and maintenance for integrated database to be sustainable.
• Design and manage finance database space to maximized data reusability and flexibility while minimize redundancy.
• Collaborate closely with BI team to improve report performance such as data accuracy, on time delivery, access speed and etc.
• Connect closely with the IT Enterprise Analytics under global, lead of Datahub project in region and RPA team to find out better/future technical solution to leverage
• Generates and champions new ideas, approaches, and initiatives. Encourages new ways of looking at problems, processes, and solutions.
• Design and provide trainings of database to HUB team, regional and country FP&As
• Proactively make suggestion for operational excellence with solutions aligned with internal stakeholders in order to link database to BI dashboard in order to meet business strategy/requirements without specific guidance. Collect feedback from regional and country FP&A and reflect into the solutions accordingly by aligning with the HUB managers.
• Influence and engage people in and outside of own organization to lead to successful communication with employees of all levels.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of progressive working experience as Data analyst including 3 years of intensive development experience using data modeling and managing tool
• Deep knowledge and experience with data modeling, data flow control and advanced calculations in BI solutions such as Power BI, Tableau and Alteryx
• Proven experience of accounting & financial system (SAP, Hyperion, Concur, etc.)
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proven track record of identifying improvement opportunities and implementation of the solutions, challenging status quo for operational excellence
• Proven skills of stakeholder management in matrix organization
• Proven ability to work with a \xe2\x80\x98sense of urgency\xe2\x80\x99 to meet critical deadlines
• Strong project management skills including prioritization and time management
• Proven ability to coach/guide others
• Advanced collaboration and team working skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment and multi-task with flexible and agile mindset
• Ability to work across different cultures
• Fluency in English both verbal and written
• Degree in Statistics, mathematics, computer science (or equivalent)
