About the role

The Process Development Engineer is responsible for process development to meet development project functional requirement specification (FRS) and excellent for manufacturing.

What you will do

• Develop and characterize for new process technology.
• Responsible to ensure technical communication and information flow within the project team and guiding technical discussions on deflashing and plating topics. Experience with other backend processes is advantageous.
• Conduct competitor benchmarking and technology studies to input on Nexperia package roadmap.
• Technical input for assembly process / equipment solutions for assigned new products or platform.
• Understand the process integration risk and come out with a risk mitigation plan.
• Provide technical solution starting from development to establish robust package manufacturability and reliability.
• Provide technical support on deflashing and plating for both internal and external customer.
• Demonstrate technical leadership in subject matter and drive process challenges with cross site members.

What you will need

• Degree holder in Engineering related disciplines.
• At least five (5) years of related working experiences in manufacturing environment, preferably semiconductors industry.
• Skillful on backend assembly processes like mold / deflash / plating / trim & form / singulation / laser mark.
• Familiar with 6 sigma, FMEA, DOE and statistics.
• Experienced on SOT / SOD / QFP / TSOP / DFN packages.
• Statistical analysis & quality and problem-solving tools. E.g. DOE, SPC, FMEA, 8D and Minitab etc.
• Six-sigma technique.
