Begin your career with DHL IT Services! We are seeking an experienced Principal Architect to join our team! You are required to manage Dataware house architecture inside IT Services, this role is a part of our Business Intelligence team. You will design and develop integrated solutions that meet current and future business needs. You need to take account of relevant architectures, strategies and policies. You will be managing the staff priorities, assignments, practices and objectives of the architecture (discipline) team. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Work with people responsible for architectural communication in all regions of IT Services and in DHL Business divisions Communicate effectively all important news to the architectural community Develop communication strategies with the aim to improve the effectiveness of communication to the architecture community at IT Services and Business IT Lead definition, initiation and design of architecture in projects/ programs and coordinate collaboration with external service providers in terms of assembling own or third-party system components Apply standard methodologies when creating new architecture, programs and applications or when maintaining existing ones Document work using the required standards, methods and tools May oversee the completion of projects and may contribute to employees\' professional development Act as technical lead of development teams on issues of performance, tools, and standards for Snowflake and Teradata platforms. Apply Snowflake best practices to maximize performance and efficient use of resources during data ingestion, transformation, and end user queries. Analyze Snowflake metadata to identify performance and cost issues and recommend remedial action. Use the Snowflake Data Security Framework to balance the often-conflicting of protecting sensitive data while democratizing access and facilitating sharing. Examine the trade offs associated with the available environment and Snowflake Account deployment options. Teradata platform health check (VP, DBQL, RESUSAGE, PBI dashboard, trend analysis) Teradata Workload Management review and provide improvements to DBA team (workload monitor, workload designer review of throttles/priorities/classifications/unclassified workloads) Teradata onboarding checklist reviews and follow ups with product teams Teradata platform inefficiencies per product based on standard test cases - identify set of test cases to continually monitor and flag back to product teams Teradata new features POC and testing and KT to broader audience Teradata reverse engineer/debugging of errors in PROD - help product teams from COE Teradata architecture review of build/design - advocate best practices Teradata PST runs - help profile results, tweak PDM, make use of new feature WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE: 10 years\' experience in Teradata Solution Architecture Experience in Teradata Performance tuning and workload management Minimum 5 years in Snowflake Development & Administration.
