About the Role

We are looking for an experienced

Principal Supplier Line Engineer (SLE)

to support supplier quality, process improvement, and component development activities.
This role acts as the key contact for assigned suppliers, ensuring product quality, supply reliability, and continuous improvement in alignment with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and review supplier performance, focusing on material quality and consistency. Conduct supplier audits and follow up on improvement and corrective action plans. Participate in supplier business reviews and present supplier quality performance. Lead supplier-related failure analysis and ensure timely resolution through effective root cause and corrective/preventive actions. Work closely with suppliers to address quality issues, containment actions, and long-term process improvements. Collaborate with Procurement and R&D teams to identify and qualify new suppliers or alternative sourcing options. Evaluate supplier capabilities to ensure alignment with design and manufacturing needs. Review and approve supplier part, product, and process change requests. Support new part qualification and review first article inspection results. Maintain supplier and material records in company systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Optical, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, or related field). Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, or component engineering. Experience with high-speed transceiver modules or optical components is preferred. Familiar with quality management systems (ISO 9001) and reliability standards (e.g., GR-468, MIL-883). Proficient in problem-solving tools such as 8D, SPC, FMEA, and DOE. Skilled in data analysis using JMP or similar software. Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills. Independent, proactive, and able to handle multiple priorities effectively.
