Requirements

  • Complete knowledge of the Malaysian National Curriculum.
  • Knowledge of Academic practices & Procedural Manual (APPM) and School Operations Manual (SOM) or SOPs as may be in operation at the time.
  • Knowledge of child learning methodologies, curriculum development and implementation.
  • School improvement practices and staff development techniques.
  • Conducts oneself with integrity.
  • Maintains emotional self-control.
  • Works effectively with parents.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent research and report writing abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication as well as presentation skills.
  • The ability to delegate tasks and provide clear instructions.
Responsibilities

We\'re looking for an experienced and passionate Principal or Vice Principal to join our team. As the Principal/Vice Principal, you\'ll work closely with the Group Principal to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment for our students. You\'ll oversee the curriculum, manage staff, and build strong relationships with students, parents, and the community.   • To support and work close in hand with the Group Principal.
  • Make sure the school develop and maintain a conducive classroom environment for effective learning with the resources provided by the management
  • Provide written evidence of preparation upon request by immediate supervisor on the behaviour issues
  • Take necessary precautions to protect the safety of students, equipment, materials and facilitate responsibly. Ensure the neatness of his/her room and the proper care of all facilities in the school compound.
  • Interact with students and parents on education-related purposes.
  • Comply and enforce school rules, administrative regulations, and the organisation\'s policies.
  • Attend and participate in faculty meetings as well as other professional meetings called by the Academy Department and/or the management.
  • Work as a team with other members of staff in planning instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
  • To abide by the company policy and procedures provided by the Human Resource department which will be reviewed from time to time.
  • To meet and strive to exceed, personal and workgroup targets for Key Performance Indicators as set from time to time by the management.
  • Perform any other duties as entrusted to you by the Group Principal/Management Team CEO/Board of Directors.
  • Oversee the smooth operations of daily activities in school.
  • Responsible for the smooth running of teachers and students\' performance.
  • Monitor closely administrative tasks, filling records, and examinations.
  • Coordinate with the trainer department on new teaching ideas and methodologies and to give constructive feedback.
  • Hold regular meetings with the Group Principal, Head of Department, CEO, management, and teachers.
  • Oversee the submission of lesson plan, scheme of work, exam papers and grades.
  • Coordinate staff induction and orientation of new teachers.
  • Reinforce the rules and regulations to both students, teachers, and staff.
  • Establish effective communication with parents/ new parents and students.
  • Coordinate school field trips, leadership camp, education fair, workshops and school events with the management team.
  • Assist with marketing and promotions, admission, entry test and registration.
  • Communicate with parents and prospective new parents.
  • Coordinate IGCSE International Exams with the examination department.
  • Responsible for alumni association and student testimonials.
  • Coordinate school graduation and appreciation day for teachers/staff with the management.
  • Supervise closely on KPIs to drive performance for teachers/staff.
  • Continually endeavour to improve the operating effectiveness of the school.
  • Co-ordinate and foster the development of programs within the school to best meet the needs and interests of the students. This includes the establishment, supervision, and evaluation of special education programmes.
  • Develop and support a high degree of student morale through curricular and extracurricular activities and services and co-ordinate the participation of all members of the teaching staff in the extracurricular programme.
  • Be responsible for the preparation of timetable, class lists and schedules, coordinate with the management
  • Oversee budgeting and determine budget allocations for items such as supplies, materials, staff and equipment.
  • Attend and participate in management meetings as well as other professional meetings called by the management.
  • Advise on forthcoming product/programme developments and discuss special promotions with the Business Development Department.
  • To meet and strive to exceed workgroup targets as set from time to time by the employer and lead.
