Job title: Printing Production Assistant

Tenure: Permanent

Salary and Benefits:

• RM2,500 to RM4,000 (depends on experience)

We are seeking a highly motivated Printing Production Assistant. The ideal candidate should possess comprehensive knowledge in machine printing production, specifically in 7-color printing, as well as experience in Konica Evo stamping process for up to 5-color foil. The candidate should also have a strong understanding of UV and coating processes.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain printing machines with different size and color capacities
• Prepare machines for printing by installing printing plates with images to be printed
• Ink the presses, load paper, and adjust the press to paper size ensuring that paper and ink meet specifications
• Guide paper through press cylinders and adjust feed and tension controls
• Monitor machine operation, make quick corrections to avoid losses of paper and ink, and correct paper tears or jams
• Pull sheets to check for printing imperfections and set up, monitor, and adjust the printing process on a control panel or computer monitor
• Perform preventive maintenance, oil and clean presses, and make minor repairs as needed
• Transfer files, blend colors, and proof images electronically using digital presses

Qualifications:

• Fresh graduate are also applicable.
• Strong understanding of machine printing production, Konica Evo stamping process, and UV and coating processes
• Ability to manage overall maintenance of printing machines
• Knowledge in adjusting ink distribution, speed, and temperature in the drying chamber
• Ability to identify and correct problems quickly and efficiently
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to pull sheets to check for printing imperfections
• Minimum education level of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Age below 40 years
