The Process and Flow Assurance Engineer is a member of the Process Engineering and Flow Assurance Team within Reliability & Engineering and provides Process and Flow Assurance technical solutions associated with Asset delivery as an individual contributor and through the coordination of contracted Process and Flow Assurance resources (including the scoping of work packages, development of cost time resource estimates, prioritisation, reporting, etc.).

Expected activities and technical solutions will include:

• Process design for new and modified production systems (e.g. P&ID, PFD, Process Safeguarding Memorandum, Cause and Effects Definition, Instrumented Functions including Control Narratives, Process Calculations, Process Datasheets, Steady State Flow Assurance Studies, Scope of Work for Dynamic Flow Assurance Studies, Development of Operating Procedures, Development of First Hydrocarbon/Commissioning Procedures).
• Development and/or modification of strategies for the management of Flow Assurance risks such as: brittle fracture, hydrates, scale, wax, slugging & liquid management.
• Internal and external multi-discipline engineering reviews, including: HAZID, HAZOP.
• Applying HSSE to allocated work scopes to meet international guidelines.
• Role modelling the leadership attributes.

About The Role

The Process and Flow Assurance Engineer:

• Is a Technical Authority (TA3) for Process Engineering & Flow Assurance or is committed to progress this soon after joining,
• Reports to the Process Engineering & Flow Assurance Manager,
• Works on a varied portfolio of work scopes across the spectrum from Hub, Discipline, WRFM, GHG and Projects,
• Develops cost effective solutions.

What We Need From You

• Expertise or SME in understanding of existing Brownfield developments from a Process and Flow Assurance point of view,

• Can provide Process Engineering, Process Safety, and Flow Assurance advise to the key stakeholders within the organisation,
• Able to work in accordance with company priorities and ensure the technical quality of Process and Flow Assurance engineering deliverables.
• Experience in the E&P industry, including:

• Knowledge of gas, condensate, and oil processes,
• Commitment to delivering results within time and budget with a service-oriented focus,
• Knowledge and interaction with production operations, project engineering and subsurface disciplines,
• Strong analytical abilities and practical approach,
• Good interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
• Relevant Engineering (e.g. Chemical Engineering) or Mechanical Engineering degree with relevant experience in Process Engineering and Flow Assurance.
• A strong technical background within Process Engineering and Flow Assurance, with experience within their specialist field
• A drive for continuous improvement,
• Lean practitioner,
• Effective team working and good written/verbal communication skills,
• Energy and enthusiasm are essential,
• Self-driven and strong finishing capabilities,
• Seek and understand Asset priorities and adopt continuously.
