Location: Penang, Malaysia

Purpose Statement

To develop and maintain a feasible plan for hiring, training and management of personnel and to ensure quality issues, process and material flows are operated efficiently. Through his or her management style, the Supervisor actively demonstrates and propagates the core values of BSC. He or she is a strong team player and demonstrates this through the integration of key goals with appropriate other functions (e.g. Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Finance, R&D, HR etc.).

About the role:

Works closely with R&D and Manufacturing in the development of robust, capable, cost effective & safe manufacturing processes and supports transfer of new products & processes into commercial production.

Your responsibilities include:

Demonstrates good working knowledge of six sigma and lean tools to drive process improvement and problem solving activities.

Writes clean and concise work instructions that can be understood by product builders.

Assists in completing proper documentation to meet quality systems requirements. (e.g., FMEA, MVP, Process Characterization reports, technical reports, etc.)

Writes validation protocols and reports applicable to new processes.

Supports on characterisation, optimization and troubleshooting of processes and equipment. Gathers and provides technical data for technical reviews.

Oversees development builds associated with the project using special work requests.

Assists in developing qualified production lines.

Provides Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to the engineering print package.

Provides input in the selection, design & development of equipment and tooling.

Ensures compliance with all the regulations governing the quality systems.
