Position Title : Process Engineer

Tenure: Permanent

Remuneration: RM5,000 - RM8,000

Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Create new ideas / suggestions and improve process, equipment and machine features for both lot and project based environments

\xc2\xb7 Liaising with design, production and technical departments to ensure smooth integration of new equipment and products into full production and existing machine portfolio

\xc2\xb7 Execution of hazard analysis and risk assessment according to CE regulations

\xc2\xb7 Defining of spare and wear parts

\xc2\xb7 Identifying deficiencies/weaknesses (with supporting data and calculations) in processes/components and developing improvements

\xc2\xb7 Meeting with business management, Sales, Assembly, internal R&D members, Procurement and suppliers to discuss product ideas.

\xc2\xb7 Conducting market research and evaluating similar products and their functions.

\xc2\xb7 Redesigning of products to enhance equipment functionality/application, reduce lead-time, due to product end of life (obsolete) or to reduce cost.

\xc2\xb7 Creating design projects and specifications sheets including test instructions for new process/parts implemented.

\xc2\xb7 5S activities are carried out at own workspace frequently & practised throughout relevant R&D offices.

\xc2\xb7 Presenting product designs/prototypes to management, Sales or customer.

\xc2\xb7 Overseeing the engineering of product prototypes.

\xc2\xb7 Development and distribution of Engineering Change Notice (ECN) to all relevant department or personnel

\xc2\xb7 Testing & documenting prototype products for functionality, ease-of-use, and longevity.

\xc2\xb7 Resolving product/equipment issues both internally (Assembly, Service, Carrier Tape Production & inter plant support) and externally (Customer) either by remote or physical support.

\xc2\xb7 Conducting and documenting training to personnel from Assembly, Training Center, Service, Carrier Tape Production, Sales or customer.

\xc2\xb7 Collaborating with Project Managers for proper allocations and tracking resources for on-time completion of tasks/projects/evaluations.

\xc2\xb7 Act as internal project manager for development/evaluation projects when and if assigned to.

\xc2\xb7 Preparing documents on critical analysis and providing solutions for corrective/preventive actions

\xc2\xb7 Perform hands-on assembly in Assembly & Carrier Tape department when and if the need arises.

\xc2\xb7 Support selection and purchasing of items, technical support for sourcing of parts, e.g clarifying questions and specifications with suppliers

\xc2\xb7 Other tasks assigned by superior

Requirement

\xc2\xb7 Strong background in manufacturing / semiconductor industry

\xc2\xb7 Experience in engineering / quality tools, like QFD, Q mapping, FMEA, statistics analysis (DOE, SPC etc), good technical knowledge and trouble shooting skills

\xc2\xb7 Good command of MS Office and MS Project

\xc2\xb7 Possess good written and verbal communication skills

\xc2\xb7 Analyze technical / process tasks and develop creative and cost-conscious solutions

\xc2\xb7 Independent, hardworking and possess the right initiatives

\xc2\xb7 Practice-oriented, aim / goal oriented, ability to work under pressure

\xc2\xb7 Assertiveness, distinct organizing skills, professional team spirit
