The Opportunity

We are offering a permanent position for a Process Engineer to join our Process Engineering team as part of our Cochlear Kuala Lumpur Manufacturing division. As part of a larger cohort of Engineering talent, the Process Engineer will work collaboratively across a diverse group of people to develop stable and reliable manufacturing processes, support supply chain or manufacturing improvement projects and ensure that Cochlear continues to have the capabilities to manufacture increasing volumes.

Responsibilities include:

Support Global Supply Chain and R&D project execution by developing and implementing safe, scalable, stable, and robust manufacturing processes across the manufacturing network for new and commercially already available product.

Ensure that manufacturing processes and associated documents comply with Cochlear QMS and international regulation (e.g. WI, PFMEA).

Responsible for meeting the manufacturing strategy by relocating/ duplicating processes across the manufacturing network.

Responsible for meeting the supply chain strategy though projects and influence project accordingly.

Ensure that the business needs are met and project are delivered on time and on cost

Review PIP process as needed to improve compliance and project/launch outcome.

Ensure the development and introduction of manufacturing technologies is aligned with Cochlear long-term strategy

Set team development strategy and budget resources to deliver against Product and services and manufacturing plan.

About You. As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you\'ll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Tertiary qualifications in Electronics/ Mechanical/ Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent, ideally with demonstrated experience in a similar process development engineering role within a highly regulated industry (Medical Device and/or Electronics Manufacturing industry experience preferred).

An engineering professional who applies scientific & engineering knowledge, mathematics & statistical ingenuity to complete projects.

Demonstrable basic technical expertise on process/product technologies to support design, optimisation, validation and troubleshooting of emergent issues that arise within those technologies.

Cochlear Malaysia provides shared services to support Cochlear\xe2\x80\x99s global operations. The growing team of professionals in Malaysia provides critical support in areas such as IT infrastructure and applications, development and testing, business intelligence development and support, procurement, customer service, service and repairs and returned device analysis engineering.
