Purpose & Accountabilities
The Process Engineer is a member of the Process Engineering and Flow Assurance Team within Reliability & Engineering and provides Process technical solutions associated with Asset delivery under guidance as an individual contributor and through the coordination of contracted Process resources. Expected activities and technical solutions will include: -
Process design for new and modified production systems (e.g. Process Engineering Flow Schemes, Process Safeguarding Memorandum and Flow Scheme, Cause and Effects Definition, Instrumented Functions including Control Narratives, Process Calculations, Process Datasheets, Steady State Flow Assurance Studies, Development of Operating Procedures, Development of First Hydrocarbon/Commissioning Procedures, Utilities).
Internal and external multi-discipline engineering reviews, including; HAZID, HAZOP.
Applying HSSE to allocated work scopes.
Role modelling the leadership attributes (Learner Mindset, Live our Values and Goal Zero, Maximise our Performance, Engage and Inspire & Grow Trust in Shell).
Dimensions
The Process Engineer:
Reports to the Process Engineering & Flow Assurance Manager,
Works on a varied portfolio of work scopes across the spectrum from Hub, Discipline, WRFM and PoP Projects,
Develops cost effective solutions.
Skills and Requirements
General:
Some understanding of existing Brownfield developments from a Process point of view,
Helps provide Process Engineering and Process Safety advise to the key stakeholders within the organisation,
Works in accordance with Fit4 and MTO priorities, ensures the technical quality of Process engineering deliverables.
Candidates are required to have technical background within Process Engineering and or Flow Assurance along with:
A drive for continuous improvement,
Lean practitioner,
Effective team working and good written/verbal communication skills,
Energy and enthusiasm are essential,
Self-driven and strong finishing capabilities,
Seek and understand Asset priorities and adopt continuously.

Experience requirements:
Experience in the E&P industry, including:
Some knowledge of Shell Process Engineering guidelines and standards,
Some knowledge of gas, condensate and oil processes,
Commitment to delivering results within time and budget with a service oriented focus,
Some knowledge and interaction with production operations, project engineering and subsurface disciplines,
Strong analytical abilities and practical approach,
Good interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
Education requirements:
Relevant Engineering (e.g. Chemical Engineering) or Mechanical Engineering degree with experience in Process Engineering and Flow Assurance.
