Job Description


Job Summary To ensure optimum process control to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability. Responsible for quality improvement action, compounding and assurance of the consistency and quality of compound supplied to production.
Key Accountabilities

1. Establish and execution of process control plan

  • Analyzation of processes, taking measurements and interpretation of data and trend.
  • Investigate operational problems, finding root cause, formulating action plan, reporting and recommending solutions.
  • Review current processes to identify substandard process for improvement and modification.
  • To attend and conduct investigation towards customer complaints and establish corrective and preventive action.

2. Develop best practices and innovative solutions to improve productivity and quality.
  • Implement and optimize process control specification to ensure the range is sensitive enough to detect abnormalities.
  • Development, implementation and monitoring of new test method.
  • Benchmark and swipe good practice from competitor to be on par with current market.
  • Analyze capital expenditures and project designs to help find ways to cut costs.
  • To analyze and conform usability/equivalency of quality of the new/substitution materials.
  • Documentation of process changes and new process implementation

3. Establish and execution of quality control plan
  • Inspection and approval on incoming raw materials, compounds and end-process materials.
  • Ensure compliance to GMP, supervise and coordinate lab activities and review test.
  • Ensure compounding/laboratory work flow and operation is conforms to work instruction and requirement.

4. Promote training and upgrading skills
  • Provide on job training to lab assistant, compounding supervisor, line leader and compounding operators.
  • Cross train and supervision on new development processes and technology.
  • Development, implementation and revision of work instructions.

5. Coordination of compound supply
  • To conduct compound planning and maturation control.
  • To ensure adequate supply of compounds to production without disruptions.
  • Issuance of compound formulation to compounding.
  • Liaise with production planner/scheduler or supervisor for ensuring the quality of final products.
  • Continuous learning and improvement of compound formulation and specification.

Other Responsibilities: 1. To support 5S activities.
  • Ensure good house-keeping and safety of work area
  • Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with health and safety legislation
2. Stock take
  • To ensure accuracy of monthly stock take and assist in annual stock take activities.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in science, Polymer or related course
  • Fresh graduates or 2-3years experience in production or related discipline
  • Possess Analytical skills, critical thinking abilities, problem solving, communication and teamworking skills
  • Fast learner, observant and logical thinking
