Job Description

As a Process Engineer, you will conduct investigation and recommend suitable adjustment for WIP batch which having properties non-conformance to ensure high-quality product and able deliver to customer. You will assist the CQE in customer complaint investigation on root cause analysis and improvement actions together with other related. departments. This role is located in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. You will report to the Operations Manager.

Main Responsibilities

Conduct investigation on Internal CAIR issued by QC. Collaborate with other related department in completing 8D report.

Process Engineer (PE) to recommend scale up / batch size optimization to improve productivity. PE to conduct rheology study and tank simulation for batch scale up. PE to partner with Finance Costing on SVC check.

Involve in New Production Introduction (NPI) in establishing/reviewing process flow and instruction, batch management activity and hand-over meeting with QC, Production and Technical.

Conduct pilot run for new product during pre-FLC. PE to verify formula from Technical and recommend for mass production or further improvement required.

Support plant in Kaizen, 6 Sigma, VSM improvement such as process, yield loss, cycle time improvement etc.

PE to review current process and recommend for improvement or formula revision to increase First Run Capability (FRC) percentage for basecoat, primer and clearcoat.

As an internal auditor, PE is involve in Internal and External audit including CB, Customer and Vendor audits.

PE to review process Activity Factor (AF) and update yearly. Liaise with Finance Costing, review Control Plan (CP) & PFMEA according to actual process control in plant.

PE to ensure process is comply with plant HSE and IATF/ISO requirement. Appointed as Element or Life Critical Rules (LCR) owner.((Team structure))

Qualifications

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer or equivalent required.

Minimum 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in automotive or coating field. Latex industry experience is acceptable if there is polymer involved.

Be available for traveling to customers\' should there be issues.

Green or Black Belt Certification in Six Sigma.

Management of core tools, knowledge of Core tools IATF16949, ISO9001, FMEA; Control plan.

Product and service level \xe2\x80\x93 Knowledge of principle and processes for providing satisfactory product and services. This includes product and service needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service, and evaluation of supplier satisfaction.
