About the role:



As a

Process Engineer

, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high product quality. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze production workflows, troubleshoot issues, and introduce innovative solutions that enhance operational performance.

Responsibilities:



Process Design & Optimization:

Design, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, ensure product quality, and support operational goals while minimizing waste and production costs.

Innovation & Validation:

Develop and test new manufacturing methods, systems, and procedures. Conduct simulations and trials to validate process changes and ensure effectiveness before full-scale implementation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with production, quality control, maintenance, and other key departments to implement improvements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure alignment across the organization.

Standardization & Compliance:

Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure process consistency. Ensure that all manufacturing activities comply with internal quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, output, and efficiency. Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for senior management to support data-driven decisions.

Continuous Improvement & Training:

Lead or support Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement initiatives. Provide training and guidance to production staff on new processes or procedural changes to ensure effective adoption.

Requirements:



Possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Process Engineer or in a similar role within a manufacturing or production environment. Strong understanding of process engineering principles, methodologies, and tools, with the ability to apply them effectively in a manufacturing setting. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of evaluating complex processes and implementing effective, practical solutions. Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin, with the ability to liaise effectively with Chinese counterparts. Proficiency in Malay is also preferred. Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying and executing process improvements.
