Job Description

The Process Engineering Manager will lead process optimisation initiatives, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with industry standards. This role involves managing a team of engineers, driving continuous improvement, and supporting strategic projects across production operations.
Process Optimisation & Improvement:

• Design, develop, and optimise manufacturing processes.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and similar methodologies.
• Analyse process data to enhance yield, reduce cycle time, minimise waste, and lower costs.
• Standardise best practices and procedures across operations.

Team Leadership & Management:

• Lead and mentor process engineers and technical staff.
• Set performance goals, conduct reviews, and support skill development.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Project Management:

• Manage cross-functional projects for new product introduction, process transfer, capacity expansion, and equipment upgrades.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and Maintenance teams.

Quality, Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards (ISO, IATF, GMP, OSHA).
• Support audits and drive corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Promote safe work practices and maintain process risk assessments.

Technical & Strategic Support:

• Introduce new technologies, tools, and automation solutions.
• Support cost reduction, capacity planning, and long-term operational strategies.
• Align process capabilities with business objectives.

A successful Process Engineering Manager should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field).
• Master's degree or certifications (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP) preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of process engineering experience in manufacturing or operations.
• At least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proven track record in process improvement and operational excellence.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
• Excellent data analysis, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in engineering and data tools (AutoCAD, Minitab, SPC software, ERP/MES systems).
