Position summary:

Responsible for all aspects of process involved in the creation of new parts for Rubber Division to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in production. Accountable for monitoring Rubber parts yields and comparing planned vs. actual outcomes as well as providing invaluable insights to drive precision and accuracy. Holds a key role on the creation of caution points and meticulous work instructions for control areas to ensure rigorous adherence to quality standards and operations procedures. Accountable for all in-process problem solving initiatives for the Rubber division to swiftly address challenges and optimize production workflows.

You will play an important role in:-

Liaises with Quality Assurance to monitor daily rejection and online defect occurrences, implementing corrective action as needed. Monitors' production yields daily, weekly and monthly, analyzing trends and variances to ensure optimal performance. Identifies discrepancies by tracking actual vs planes cycles times and implementing measures to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Conducts in-depth analysis of the high rejection parts and comes up with action plans for improvement. Collaborate with production leaders and supervisors to investigate root causes of defects and implement effective solutions. Studies process parameters and updates Process Sheet as necessary for problem-solving and improvements.

Coordinates with New Product Introduction ("NPI") Engineersto understand new projects statuses and requirements.

Develops product feedback for tooling touch-ups,repairs and enhancements. Creates Work Instructions when necessary to ensure standard process practices by Production personnel and provide improvement on existing parts. Provides technical support to production on all process matters through daily scrap / reject meetings.

Drives continuous improvement initiatives for all on-going processes.*
Undertakes any other relevant duties assigned by immediate superior, Department HOD or management. Liaise with the lab, tooling, and sales teams to ensure accurate quotations.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:-

Minimum 5 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Preferred with LSR molding and rubber molding experience. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related field. Proven track record of driving process improvements, optimizing production process and delivering tangible results. Skilled in managing new projects, from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Skilled in LSR Molding & Rubber Molding and demonstrates proficiency in molding techniques and materials. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels. Ability to provide detailed Product Feedback for tooling improvement, including determining tooling parting line and design enhancements. Proficient in training and briefing Production Engineers, Supervisors, and leaders on troubleshooting techniques to resolve in-process quality issues effectively. Strong capabilities in Process & Quality Problem-solving, adept at analyzing complex issues and implementing effective solutions. Proven track record of identifying root causes of problems and providing innovative solutions to optimize processes and enhance product quality. Comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in machine operations, coupled with meticulous document filing and control (both hard copy and soft copy), and the ability to provide Return on Investment (ROI) assessments for improvement projects.
