Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 5-8 years' experience in procurement within manufacturing, including at least 2 years in a leadership/assistant manager role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to drive cost savings.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin (written & spoken) to liaise with colleagues and suppliers from China.
  • Willing to work full-time at our Pulau Indah, Port Klang office.
Responsibilities
Procurement Processes & Planning
  • Oversee the full procurement cycle for all purchasing activities, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and quality.
  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers offering the best quality at competitive prices.
  • Negotiate quotations on pricing, delivery terms, and product quality.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
  • Source reliable transport providers with a focus on flexibility and timely delivery.
  • Ensure strict quality control while maintaining effective communication with internal teams and suppliers.
Procurement Delivery
  • Liaise daily with transporters to track delivery status and provide clear updates.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with trusted vendors and suppliers.
  • Monitor purchase orders to ensure goods are received and suppliers are fully paid on time.
  • Conduct regular supplier visits to assess capacity, address gaps, and recommend improvements.
Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure procurement activities align with company policies, regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Manage procurement budgets with a focus on cost optimization and financial discipline.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records (POs, contracts, supplier data) for audit and compliance.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through market research and trend analysis.
  • Generate regular reports on procurement performance, savings, and vendor evaluations.
  • Undertake other duties assigned by management as needed.
