About The Job

Responsible to plan and execute the end-to-end procurement activities in a project-based environment with the objective of obtaining the most competitive pricing for the products procured, whilst ensuring compliance with procurement policies and SOPs.

Key tasks:

• Work closely with the project department executing the procurement activities - source, obtain and evaluate the most competitive pricing
• Place and communicate material requirement via Purchase Orders to suppliers and handle deviations within purchase orders, secure delivery on time and follow up on delayed orders
• Plan, schedule and monitor the procurement of equipment to ensure timely approval and award
• Receive and register order confirmations from suppliers, handle and communicate deviations
• Purchase items for project orders
• Handle deviations in supplier invoice and check supplier payment
• Ensure accurate record of data in local ERP system
• Analyse, propose and implement purchasing initiative projects to support improvements in cost saving and time saving
• Review and update the approved supplier list periodically, perform supplier compliance, monitoring and evaluation according to SOPs
• Prepare reports and statistics for management review
• Ensure procurement activities comply with procurement policies and SOPs

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent, preferably in an engineering discipline
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in procurement roles, with good appreciation of procurement and governance best practices
• Good understanding of procurement strategy, process and procedures including Procure-to-Pay process
• Experience in supplier audit will be an added advantage
• Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
