About us
Dyson\'s Assurance of supply managers work to align the supply material plan with the demand build plan for each categories. AOS manage the \xe2\x80\x9cHeat map\xe2\x80\x9d of the material plan and coordinate mitigation activities coming from Excess, obsolescence and shortage risks. The team brings material plan data and analytics so Dyson\'s can operate constantly high quality simulation on the demand to supply plan. The team operates mainly on the active product portfolio.
About the role
We are hiring an Assurance of Supply Manager who will be responsible for supporting project material risk buy and product material last time buy related to obsolescence or end of life.
This role will be involved in the entire process, from the early design stage of new projects to monitoring obsolescence throughout the product life cycle and will work closely with various stakeholders in Global Supply Chain and RDD, and will be a part of the AOS team within Global Procurement.
You should have several years of experience in material planning for different commodities, with strong coordination and communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
This role is crucial in ensuring Dyson\'s supply remains responsive, accurate, resilient, and cost-optimised to meet demand.
Collaborate closely with contract manufacturers, focusing on material planning and factory operations.
You will be part of the materials planning team supporting supply assurance for project risk buy and product &Material last time buy
Take on a leadership role in managing project material demand across different portfolios and categories.
Review risk analysis and BOM content to identify potential risks and provide a comprehensive overview of the demand.
Drive the transition from risk buy to supply insurance for mass production, which will involve creating a material heat map and managing the supply run rate.
Coordinate obsolescence management related to project material risk buy and active product BOM life cycle.
Foster collaboration between cross functional teams
Actively contribute to data analytics and the development of digitalisation in the demand and supply environment.
About you
Strong knowledge and proven experience in material management, including demand planning, logistics, and inventory positioning in the supply line to ensure a steady supply.
Experience in Electronics Material planning.
Good understanding and experience in purchasing fundamentals, planning, scheduling, and supply chain.
Solid commercial/procurement knowledge of operations and manufacturing.
Ability to comprehend business processes and challenge existing practices to enhance efficiency.
Preferred experience in S&OP & EIBP supply.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team, resolve conflicts, plan ahead, prioritise tasks.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
Familiarity with data analytics and proficiency in Microsoft suite applications.
