Job Description


  • This role executes procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, including sourcing, negotiation, and cost management, while fostering strong vendor and stakeholder relationships.
  • This role is responsible to ensure adherence to laws and ethical practices, while incorporating sustainability principles into procurement decisions, demonstrating environmental responsibility and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrates deep understanding of procurement principles, practices, and procedures, encompassing sourcing, vendor management, negotiation, contract management, and risk mitigation.
  • Capable of crafting and executing procurement strategies that align with overall business objectives, including identifying sourcing opportunities, negotiating favorable terms, and effectively managing costs.
  • Proficient in negotiating contracts with vendors to secure the best possible terms for the company, utilizing strong communication, persuasion, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Skilled in fostering and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders through effective communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution.
  • Able to analyze data and trends to identify procurement opportunities and risks, demonstrating strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective in overseeing procurement projects from initiation to completion, demonstrating strong organizational, planning, and execution skills.
  • Competent in managing procurement budgets effectively and staying within allocated funds, showing proficiency in financial literacy and forecasting.
  • Capable of communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, verbally and in writing.
  • Exhibits leadership qualities by motivating and guiding teams of procurement professionals, employing effective coaching, mentoring, and delegation techniques.
  • Possesses insight into Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) and current procurement trends, facilitating informed decision-making within the company\'s industry.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to adhering to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical procurement practices.
  • Integrates sustainability principles into procurement decisions, showing awareness and dedication to environmental responsibility.

Bachelor Degree in any related studies.

5 years of procurement experience in a related field, with expertise in managing Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) procurement processes.

Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations and quality standards/specifications is necessary.

Demonstrates exceptional negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and meeting tight deadlines.

Proficiency in both verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential.
