Job Description


  • Diploma or Bachelor\'s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
  • Min 2 years in a similar capacity.

  • Procurement Officer collaborates with other supply chain members, ensuring that purchases arrive in a timely fashion precisely as ordered to keep inventories well-stocked.

  • Detail-oriented - To find the best rates for purchased items and maintain inventory levels.
Responsibilities

Manage Supply
  • Oversees raw materials or other goods inventory and places orders when supplies run low.
Manage Budget
  • Estimate and establish cost parameters and budget for purchases.
  • Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services and supplies.
Manage Supplier/Vendor
  • Handle new supplier and vendor registration.
  • Maintaining healthy, reliable and positive relationships with those suppliers is crucial to the success of their organization.
  • Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply and price options.
  • Ensure that products and supplies are high quality.
  • Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times and potential future development.
Reduce Costs
  • Continually look for areas where costs can be reduced without sacrificing quality. This means that, while upholding relationships with current suppliers, they also need to keep an eye out for new suppliers that might provide the same product for a lower cost.
  • Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.
Process Documentation
  • Liaison with other departments, particularly the accounting, manufacturing and stock departments.
  • Liaison with store and logistic department, ensure all orders arrive on time.
  • Keep track of the outstanding purchase order.
Gather Data
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing and other important data.
  • Create and maintain record of price lists for contracts and customers.
