Job Summary:
Procurement Officer manages evaluating suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts/tender pricing, and ensuring the approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality.
Due to visa limitations, only locals will be considered.
Job Responsibilities:
Identify potential supplier and invite them to participate in Metabuyer (E-Sourcing) tender for quality sourcing purposes,
Sourcing for new product when requested.
Conduct vendor inspection to the supplier site to ensure the supplier comply with our requirements.
Monitor check SCM system for product and supplier creation.
Once the Purchase Request is raised, have to monitor stock level and placed orders as needed.
Coordinate with store staff to ensure proper and correct amount storage.
Follow up with vendors/suppliers regarding undelivered items on daily basis.
Review and analyze all pricing given by vendors/suppliers.
Negotiate the best deal for contract and ad hoc item pricing and supply.
Ensure all products proposed are good quality and certified by government.
Research on new item proposed by management/end user.
Need to tabulate price comparison once all the information provided by supplier. This is done so that the end user can justify their reason to purchase and they are aware which supplier we are going to award to.
Maintain records of cancelled purchases, new pricing and other important data.
Settling Problem Invoices. Once the Cost Control staff passes the problem invoices to procurement officer, we have to check what is the issue caused and take necessary action to settle within the period provided.
Reviewing, sourcing, comparing, analyzing and approving products and services to be purchased in the organization.
Qualifications
Postgraduate
Knowledge on operation of hospitality.
Experience
Fresh graduates or 2 years of working experience
