Job Description


Responsibilities:

  • Source for raw materials / machinery/ equipment / parts/ merchandize / others goods & services required by the company.
  • Compares prices amongst various vendors in order for the Management to make sound purchasing decisions.
  • Follow up and follow through to ensure ordered goods are delivered in a timely manner, and that the quality of the goods received is satisfactory.
  • Negotiate with contractors on price, mode of shipping, and delivery time.
  • Monitor invoices for accuracy, and comply to purchasing documentation to facilitate the accounts payable department to issue payment.
  • Analyse the performance of key / regular vendors in order to decide whether or not to continue buying from them.
  • Input data concerning inventory and order amounts into a computer database.

Requirements:
  • Must be a Malaysian
  • min. 5 years proven working experience as a procurement specialist/ executive.
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in \'reading\' the market.
  • Talent in negotiations and networking.
  • Excel in working with numbers.
  • Familiarity in collecting and analyzing data.
  • Must be able to speak / write in Chinese (to deal with China PRC vendors)
