RequirementsAs a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing activities of the company, ensuring that goods and services are sourced and acquired in the most efficient, cost-effective, and timely manner. You will work closely with various departments to understand their needs, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar procurement or supply chain role.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
  • Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Must possess own transport.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring the best quality, cost, and delivery terms.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on their ability to meet quality standards, pricing, and delivery timelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to determine purchasing requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and proper documentation.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Conduct regular market research to identify new suppliers, trends, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Track procurement performance and provide reports on key metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with other teams (e.g., finance, operations) to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
