Summary

We are known as Product Data Management (PDM) team, part of our Global Supply Chain Services based in Toronto Canada. We are responsible to setup our customer data into the internal system and also to ensure it is ready for the purchasing and manufacturing activity. We offer customized, flexible and integrated supply chain solutions, supported by a global technology product lifecycle management (PLM) system.

We are currently looking for an Associate, Product Data based in our Bayan Lepas / Kulim facility.

Detailed Description

  • Responsible for receiving, logging, and converting Customer\'s product data into our internal data formal to be used by our PLM system (Bills of Materials, preferred supplier information)
  • Receive, analyze and process our Customer Engineering Change Orders.
  • Disseminates notification of data readiness and/or distributes data as appropriate.
  • Works with internal workstream (Production Planner, Manufacturing Engineer, Customer Program, IT etc) and external customers to resolve any data integrity issues.
  • Ensures the proper storage and ease of retrieval of the data.
  • Acts as the focal point for all product data related technical issues.
  • Interacts with customers to resolve problems and increase the quality and yield of the product data release process.
  • Work on Continuous Process Improvement
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
  • Strong systems skills, including common office platforms such as MS Office, along with strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of SCM and Manufacturing practices and procedures
  • Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines
  • Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers
  • Functional knowledge in data and material handling is an assets
Typical Experience
  • Entry level or 2-3 years in Data management or manufacturing field (engineering).
  • Understanding of product structure and electronics/mechanical components.
  • High level understanding of commercial data required for quoting and PO placements, typically obtained from experience supporting operations in an additional advantages.
Typical Education
  • Bachelor\'s degree in related field (Electrical / Electronic / Mechanicals/ Material Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology), or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience. Fluency in English is Required
