About the role You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our digital products. This is a hands-on management role where you will lead and mentor a team of talented designers while actively optimizing the design process and directing the design strategy at Coda. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, ensuring that our design vision aligns with business goals, user needs, and data-driven insights. Responsibilities Lead and inspire a team of designers with a collaborative and innovative culture Provide visionary leadership to the design team, aligning design strategy with overall company objectives Remain hands-on in the design process, contributing to high-quality user interfaces Define and uphold high design standards, ensuring a consistent and exceptional user experience across all products and platforms Use data and analytics to inform design decisions and improve product performance Drive a culture of experimentation and creative thinking within the design team Drive user research initiatives to gather insights and validate design decisions Effectively communicate design strategies, rationale, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences Act as a design evangelist, advocating for the value of design in achieving business goals Requirements 8+ years in product design with 2+ years in leadership Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and successful product launches In-depth knowledge of design principles, user experience, and interaction design Track record of fostering creativity and innovation within design teams Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and requirements Excellent communication skills to convey design concepts, strategies, and outcomes to various stakeholders Excellent problem-solving skills and collaboration to address complex design challenges Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on design work Working at Coda Joining the Coda team means diving into a fast-paced, challenging, and exciting world.
