Once the commercial operation commences by the end of 2024, the Kulim production site will focus on ABF substrate solutions for the semicon industry. Currently, we are seeking an experienced candidate to fill this newly created position: Product Engineer Your Responsibilities Play a role of the technical interface between production & external customer regarding the technical issue(design, technology, material ). Should have complete awareness of the Standard Scope of Services of plant with respect to manufacturing Should have complete knowledge of the technical requirements and specifications of the customers that he/she is representing. Permanent searching for improvements of quality, productivity, costs optimisation. AT&S central project management for PE recourses (SAP, new technology) Take pre-cost calculations via quotation system (SAP-VC) Manufacture feasibility of customer design. Should do the Team Feasibility Commitment for the critical characteristics and the deviations of the customer requirements from the standard scope of services of the plant, with the relevant TDI engineer. Technical clarification with the customers. Should interact with the customers to obtain the generic clarification. Preparation of production data like panel layouts, SAP input of production flow, product description . Should decide the process route along with TDI that the product should take and the necessary instructions for that process, in order to meet the customer requirement and enter the same in SAP. Should give product specific instructions that are necessary to prepare the tooling for CAM Knowledge of FMEA of the department and ensuring the implementation of all the guidelines specified in these documents. Handling of Product / Process correcion request (PCR. Coordination and support if production problems occur. Information distribution of customer requirement like reports, survey, etc. Spec review with quality for new customers Technical support to inner customer such as production, quality, sales/OH departments, etc Technical support to external customers on design review, technology development, etc. R&D support at qualification of new materials and processes Realization / life of the quality thinking by running 8D projects Training of new engineers. Other Job assignment from superior. Your Profile Degree in Electrical and Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering and equivalent. At least 5 years\' experience in relevant industry ( or a similar industry preferred PCB manufacture, SMT experience, ICS process) Good IT knowledge, especially CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) Computer skills - MS Office Package (Word, Excel) Technical and logical thinking. Team spirit (able to be part of a team and team leader as well). Good communication skills. Written and oral English.
