• Ability to evaluate and propose materials selection for product development that considers current capabilities as well as new or emerging materials.
• Demonstrate the ability to inform and consult with Procurement, 3rd party suppliers and Manufacturing on material capability, manufacturability, and costs.
• Ability to consult, design, and apply testing specifications for material use and application.
• Demonstrate knowledge needed to validate regulatory compliance with governing institutions (BIFMA, Sustainability, ISO, etc.) to mitigate risk, liability, and environmental impact.

• Participate in supplier reviews that consider capability, selection, and cost.
• Develop and foster network relationships (internal and external) that build trust, expedite work, problem solve and positively influence peers, designs, and solutions.

• Leverage Systems, Processes and Tools to provide technical product specifications that detail technical integrity, design intent and validation activities.
• Effectively apply Engineering principles, materials, and mechanical science and properties, manufacturing, and tooling capability expertise to product solutions
• Leverage engineering documentation tools to provide specification, protocol, and procedures.

• Ability to deploy communication techniques and skills that focus on simplification of complexity.
• Leverage visualization image/illustrations for presentation of concepts, solutions, and ideation.
• Collaborate with Design and Marketing to craft, interpret, and inform though storytelling to demonstrate concept and insights.

• Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical degree or certification.
• Minimum five years\' work experience within mechanical engineering discipline.
