About the role?

The Product Engineer in the E2W division is responsible for designing, validating, and optimizing electric two-wheeler platforms. The role ensures products meet performance, cost, and reliability standards through technical excellence, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Lead design iterations for E2W chassis, battery integration, and powertrain systems. Conduct FMEA, DVP&R, and root-cause analysis to address field failures and performance issues. Benchmark product performance against global E2W and BaaS standards. Prepare engineering documentation, including BOMs, CAD drawings, and validation reports. Collaborate with supply chain, after-sales, and operations to ensure manufacturability and serviceability. Support technical deliverables for strategic projects such as the Foodpanda Electrification initiative. Model cost structures and identify opportunities for performance and cost optimization. Ensure compliance with Malaysian EV regulations and EU homologation standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering (Master's preferred). 3-5 years of experience in EV, automotive, or mobility product engineering. Strong analytical skills with experience in cost modeling and performance benchmarking. Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder presentations. Familiarity with E2W platforms, battery systems, and BaaS architectures is a strong plus.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
