Product Innovation Technologist

About The Role
As part of HaruPlate's product development team, you will have ownership in leading developments that are at the forefront of the paediatric functional food industry. To achieve the brand's vision, you will work in close collaboration with our Business Development and Marketing team to research, design and develop an entire range of delicious, nutritious solutions for our young customers.
Scope of Work:
Product Strategy
Work in collaboration with the Business Development team to gather consumer insights.
Refine and execute projects according to the product development playbook.
Product R&D - from conception to manufacturing
Oversee new product development and improvements of current product line to achieve top-line growth.
Conduct consumer research and development to ensure strong product-market fit.
This includes customer-facing and outreach activities that may and do occur on weekends.
Develop product formulation based on functional nutrition and user design goals
R&D work also involves working with suppliers, vendors and consultants.
Run small-batch production with the aim of mass production.
Inventory & Manufacturing
Ensure smooth and efficient production schedule for an effective supply chain.
QAQC
Develop QAQC documentation together with consultants.
Schedule site and supply chain audits.
Ensure that all required certifications are valid and up-to-date.
Admin & Reporting
Manage projects to ensure that they meet timelines and milestones.
Keep R&D and production documentation up-to-date, and ensure clear and effective communication.
Set up SOPs and workflows for clear communication within Product team and other internal and external stakeholders.
Experience, Qualifications & Traits:
0 to 2 years experience; Diploma or Degree in Food Science & Technology, Product Design, or Culinary.
A genuine interest and aptitude to approach problem-solving from different angles - food & nutrition science and tech, design, or even engineering. Most importantly, the candidate must possess an obsessiveness and drive to find impactful, effective solutions.
Ability to run experiments and be comfortable with finding innovative approaches to problem-solving while maintaining focus on the objective.
Able to work independently, but also rises to the occasion when working in collaboration with other teams.
Driven, meticulous, strong process-driven mindset.
