We are looking for someone with strong technical background, excellent leadership skills and strong business acumen to join the technology development of our logistics platforms. As Technical Product Manager, your role is to ensure that design requirements are met with technical requirements, overseeing the consistency of user experiences, within the logistics business vertical. You will fit perfectly if you have prior experience in a Product Management role, preferably in an eCommerce / Logistics environment. This role will be on a full-time basis and based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will report to the Head of Product.



We are growing our in-house engineering capabilities and we have existing products that have been built from ground up. We are looking at improving development practises and processes to enable scalability of our products.

As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:

  • Understand the inherent problems in the existing ecosystem, the opportunities and propose actionable solutions to address them;
  • Understand our vision for the product, and help us build the technical product;
  • Clearly understand the business needs and communicate them to the development team.
  • Ensure that the requirements are clearly understood by all the teams and that the implementation
  • roadmap matches the requirements.
  • The technical manager should act as the advocate to the product and serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the developer community
  • Aid Software Engineering team in making key systems architecture decisions that allow us to scale;
Qualifications
  • Ensure that proper product documentation standards are maintained.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to explain tradeoff with users and developers about decisions
  • Work with the non-Technical Product Managers to ensure that all delivered software meets the functional
  • requirements.
  • Ensure that all solutions delivered adhere to the industry best practices
  • Experience in Cloud architecture and proficiency in general-purpose programming language
  • At the onset, you may be culture-shocked working in AirAsia and with the Teleport team. To help you adapt better,

Additional Information
  • 6 - 9 years experience in Product Management with a background in Software Engineering
  • Deep exposure and understanding of Agile/Lean Methodologies.
  • Comfortable with reviewing code.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to welcome and adapt to change.
  • Able to define and articulate big-picture goals and milestones while maintaining strong attention to detail to all audiences.
  • Prior experience in high-availability, high-traffic transactional sites.
