The Difference You Will Make:
You will be a part of our trusted product team composed of product managers, specialist and admins to manage our entire product portfolio across the entire segment (wholesale, retail, foodservice). You will provide and analyse market insights to ensure smooth execution of current and new products that needs meet the needs of the community.
In addition, you will utilize Lee's rich and unique experience, employ the latest technology including artificial intelligence, and other central systems to support various teams in our organisation. You will also be deeply involved in new market segments we will enter and will have the opportunity to collaborate with a strong team of leeders across different departments and functions to help keep millions of Malaysians well fed and our food affordable.

A typical day
Inventory Management
: Oversee inventory forecasts for basic and promotional SKUs, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet demand.
Aging and Risk Management
: Manage aging, potential risk, and salvageable inventories to minimize losses.
Sales and Stock Monitoring
: Track sales performance and stock forecasts to maintain accurate inventory levels.
Promotional Stock Oversight
: Monitor leftover promotional stocks and coordinate clearance strategies.
Supply Chain Coordination
: Liaise with the supply chain department to manage shipping schedules and track container shipment arrivals.
Cross-Department Collaboration
: Work closely with the sales team to provide product performance data and fulfill information requests.
Approval Authority
: Approve below-cost sales and buffer stock releases.
Product Movement Review
: Monitor and analyze product movement to identify trends and opportunities.
Communication
: Respond to emails from relevant departments and suppliers promptly.
Inventory Planning:
Initiate and develop plans to ensure we only stock the best selling and fastest moving goods and prevent overstocking.
Competitor Analysis:
Monitor competitor pricing and provide insights to support strategic pricing decisions.
Meeting Participation:
Attend product team meetings (Monday), purchasing meetings (Thursday), and operational meetings (Friday).
Demand Planning:
Plan and launch demand planning for bakery category items, presenting strategies during Friday meetings.
Purchase Coordination:
Initiate approvals for demand planning and collaborate with the purchasing team to execute item procurement.
Shipment Planning:
Adjust shipment schedules based on sales performance, deciding whether to delay or expedite deliveries.
Pricing Strategies:
Develop clearance pricing or trade offers for slow-moving and nearly expired items.
Master Price List Management:
Plan and update the master price list for bakery products.
Special Pricing Approval:
Review and approve special price lists as needed.
Presentation Preparation:
Prepare slides for product meetings and deliver presentations during Sales & Marketing (S&M) business review meetings, focusing on bakery category performance.
Inventory Write-Offs:
Identify and provide write-offs for unsellable or expired items.
Sourcing Initiatives:
Source new items or suppliers when necessary to enhance the bakery product portfolio.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
Prefer a Mandarin speaker.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience
in product management, inventory control, or supply chain roles, preferably in the food or bakery industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for inventory and demand forecasting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems) for monitoring sales and stock.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of bakery products and market trends is an advantage.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to make data-driven decisions.
