Job Description

To support the Production Manager in overseeing manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and efficiency goals are achieved while maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Oversight & Management

Supervise daily production activities and ensure adherence to production plans and schedules. Monitor production output, quality, and efficiency, and take corrective actions as needed. Coordinate with production supervisors and team leads to resolve operational issues.

Team Leadership & Development

Lead, coach, and motivate production staff to achieve performance and quality targets. Conduct training sessions to develop skills and improve workforce competency. Promote a safe, productive, and collaborative work environment.

Process Improvement & Optimization

Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the production process. Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Recommend changes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality.

Resource & Inventory Management

Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials. Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to maintain raw material availability. Monitor inventory levels and reduce wastage or losses.

Quality & Compliance

Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications. Maintain compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations. Support audits, inspections, and quality control initiatives.

Reporting & Documentation

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management review. Maintain accurate records of production performance, downtime, and corrective actions.

Achievement of production targets and schedules Product quality and defect rates Efficiency in manpower and resource utilization Reduction of production downtime and waste Compliance with safety and regulatory standards

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production Engineering, or related field. 5-10 years of experience in production or manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Knowledge of production planning, lean manufacturing, and quality management systems. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions:

Office and production floor-based, involving supervision of operational activities. May require shift work, overtime, or weekend coverage depending on production demands. Exposure to machinery, chemicals, and manufacturing environment hazards (PPE required).

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
