Job Description


Location : MelakaSalary : RM commensurate with experiencejob descriptionJob Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate Production Needs: Assess current and future production requirements to determine machine capacity needs.
  • Optimize Machine Utilization: Ensure machines are utilized efficiently to meet production targets.
  • Capacity Forecasting: Forecast machine capacity based on production schedules and sales forecasts.
  • Coordinate with Departments: Work closely with other departments (e.g., Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain) to align capacity with demand.
Maintenance Scheduling: Develop and manage maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. * Preventive Maintenance: Implement preventive maintenance programs to avoid unexpected breakdowns.
  • Maintenance Records: Keep detailed records of machine maintenance and repairs.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors for machine servicing and parts replacement.
Supervise Supervisors: Oversee production supervisors to ensure they meet their targets and adhere to quality standards. * Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the performance of production teams and individual employees.
  • Production Tracking: Track production output against targets and identify areas for improvement.
  • Quality Control: Ensure production output meets quality standards and address any issues promptly.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. * Lean Manufacturing: Utilize lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve workflows.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to supervisors and production staff to improve skills and performance.
Production Reports: Prepare and present regular production reports to senior management. * Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation related to production processes, maintenance activities, and performance metrics.
Job Requirements:
  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering or equivalent in any field with minimum 5 years of work experience in cable production.
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize activites and manage production operators.
  • Meet deadlines while working remotely.
  • Good communication skill especially in English.
  • Dynamic, Independent and able to adapt to multi-tasking environment.
  • Possess own transport
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office preferred.
