Key Responsibilities:1. Production Planning & Control
Plan, organize, and oversee production schedules in line with customer orders and project timelines.
Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth production flow.
Monitor daily output, productivity, and material usage against targets.
Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
2. Quality Assurance & Compliance
Enforce quality standards (ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949, ISO 9001) and ensure compliance with OEM requirements.
Work closely with the Quality Department to identify and resolve production defects or non-conformances.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to maintain consistent product quality.
3. Process Improvement & Efficiency
Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives to improve workflow and reduce waste.
Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Introduce automation or digital tools where feasible to enhance production performance.
4. People Management
Lead, train, and motivate a team of supervisors, line leaders, and operators.
Conduct regular performance reviews and develop training plans to upgrade staff skills.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
5. Safety & Environment
Ensure full compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Promote safe working practices and lead incident investigations when necessary.
Conduct regular safety audits and housekeeping checks.
6. Cost Control & Reporting
Manage production costs and ensure optimal use of resources.
Prepare and analyze production reports (OEE, downtime, yield, and scrap rates).
Support budgeting and cost-saving initiatives.
7. Coordination & Communication
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and HR to support overall operational goals.
Participate in new model launch readiness, product trials, and engineering change implementations.
Attend management review meetings and provide updates on production performance.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Manufacturing / Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum
5-10 years
of experience in production management, preferably in the
automotive or component manufacturing industry
.
Strong understanding of
Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, and Continuous Improvement methodologies
.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (additional languages are an advantage).
Proficient in MS Office and production management systems (ERP / MES).

Pay: RM3,871.32 - RM10,000.00 per month
