Job Description

Location: Nilai, Negeri Sembilans: * Production Planning and Control:

• Develop and implement production plans to meet manufacturing goals, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to production schedules.
• Monitor daily production activities, ensuring that sheet metal components are fabricated according to design specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with the supply chain and procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components.
• To make departmental production planning.
• To monitor and ensure production able to meet the delivery schedule.
• To plan and make purchase requests for raw materials for departmental use.
• To liaise with in-house department to coordinate interdepartmental delivery.
• To ensure departmental manpower is producing maximum production output.
• To submit daily production output record.
• To ensure high teamwork and adopt continuous improvement within the department.
• Quality Assurance:

• Work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to establish and maintain quality standards for sheet metal components.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production process to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
• Investigate and resolve any quality issues that arise during production, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.
• Continuous Improvement:

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes, product quality, and overall operational efficiency.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in sheet metal fabrication technology and best practices, implementing new techniques as appropriate.
• Train and mentor production staff on new processes, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Analyze and improve sheet metal fabrication processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize production costs.
• Implement lean manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline production workflows.
• Identify bottlenecks in the production process and propose solutions to improve throughput.

To be successful in this role:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related field.
• At least 4 to 5 years of working experience in production planning within the manufacturing or cooling tower industry.
• Experience in managing production teams, improving manufacturing processes, and meeting production targets.
• Experience in overseeing production schedules and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Ability to adjust to changing demands, production schedules, or unexpected challenges.
• Ability to lead and motivate production staff and resolve issue.
• Good communicate with various department.
