Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced

Production Manager

to lead and manage the entire Production Department, driving continuous improvement in personnel, material, and capital efficiency. This role ensures smooth production operations, adherence to quality standards, and effective coordination of schedules while fostering a culture of safety, discipline, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

Monitor and optimize production output and efficiency. Plan headcount requirements and set performance targets. Supervise, train, and guide subordinates. Develop and track production KPIs. Ensure production schedules are met with timely completion of orders. Control raw material and WIP inventory to ensure efficient material flow. Review and verify daily production reports. Investigate non-conformance issues, implement corrective/preventive actions. Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain a safe, healthy, and disciplined working environment. Promote 5S and good housekeeping practices.

Secondary Duties:

Liaise with supporting departments (Planning, HR, IT, Marketing, etc.) to fulfill production needs. Participate in ISO activities, audits, and customer inspections. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors. Oversee machine spare parts requisition. Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.

Authorities

Approve subordinates' medical visits, leave applications, and work-hour permissions. Approve subordinates' overtime.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering). Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity. Strong knowledge in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 standards. Proficient in ERP systems, MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Skilled in leadership, decision-making, and people management. Ability to handle heavy workloads, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines. Strong technical troubleshooting and production coordination abilities.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
