Production Planner

to manage scheduling, capacity planning, and workflow coordination across our machines and production teams.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for all machining and fabrication operations. Plan machine loading, capacity utilization, and manpower allocation to meet delivery deadlines. Monitor work progress on the shop floor and adjust schedules when delays or urgent jobs occur. Coordinate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Procurement to ensure smooth workflow. Track material availability, WIP status, and job priorities to avoid bottlenecks or shortages. Analyze production data to improve planning accuracy, lead time, and throughput. Maintain accurate planning records, job travelers, and production documentation. Assist in implementing planning systems, digital tools, or process improvements. Ensure customer delivery dates are met and communicate any risks or changes proactively. Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production flow and reduce downtime.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. 1-3 years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment (machining experience is an added advantage). Strong understanding of production processes, lead times, and capacity planning. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP/MRP systems is an advantage. Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple departments. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle last-minute schedule changes. Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.

Pay: RM2,078.58 - RM5,245.01 per month
