Job Description

To plan, schedule, and monitor production activities to ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders while optimizing resources, inventory, and production capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Scheduling

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer orders, demand forecasts, and production capacity. Prioritize production orders to meet delivery deadlines and minimize delays. Adjust schedules proactively in response to changes in demand or resource availability.

Coordination & Communication

Collaborate with production, procurement, warehouse, and quality teams to ensure smooth execution of schedules. Communicate production plans, changes, and potential delays to relevant stakeholders.

Inventory & Material Management

Monitor raw material and component availability to support scheduled production. Coordinate with procurement to prevent material shortages that could disrupt production.

Monitoring & Reporting

Track production progress against the schedule and resolve scheduling conflicts. Prepare reports on production performance, schedule adherence, and bottlenecks. Recommend process improvements to enhance scheduling efficiency.

System & Process Management

Maintain accurate production schedule data in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDE). Assist in implementing production planning best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Production/Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field. 2-5 years of experience in production scheduling or planning. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and coordination skills across departments.

Working Conditions:

Office-based with frequent interactions with the production floor. May require occasional overtime during peak production periods.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
