Job Description


Experience: Preferred 2 years of relevant working experience in a retail optical setting.Software Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and knowledge in IT is an added advantage.Soft Competencies/Personal Attributes:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Language Skills: Fluent in English and Mandarin.ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities:Development of New Media Tools:
  • Responsible for developing new media tools (Optics) for the Malaysia market.
  • Provide timely and regular updates on the status and requirements for new media tools.
Communication and Implementation:
  • Develop communication materials and implementation plans for the roll-out readiness of optics\' new media tools.
  • Conduct training for one-to-one and small-group retailers (ECPs).
  • Develop and deliver training for optics, new media tools, and measuring devices, including ophthalmic lenses.
Training and Professional Development:
  • Conduct professional training for optometrists, optometrists, and front-of-house teams.
  • Provide communication skills training for eye care professionals.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and sustainability through post-training communication.
Best Practices and Competitive Analysis:
  • Conduct training on best practices for improving the effectiveness of new media tools and the ophthalmic lens business.
  • Develop competitive analysis to overcome objectives.
Collaboration and Support:
  • Work closely with the Sales Team to provide knowledge and expertise on new media tools.
  • Assist the marketing team in ensuring maximum objectives are met.
Ad-Hoc Responsibilities:
  • Assisted in delivering educational sessions and professional conferences and organizing continuing professional education programs.
  • Troubleshoot requests pre/post regular retail hours when required.
Reporting:
  • Fulfil reporting requests, including pre and post-training reports, market intelligence reports, and monthly reports on the status of new media tools and the implementation process.
Other Duties:
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending product workshops.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Provide support in the installation and user training of equipment and tools.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the management.
