Job Description

Responsibilities:\xc2\xb7 To support the implementation of activities related to river basin management, water conservation, and environmental stewardship programs, mainly through nature-based solutions\xc2\xb7 To promote community engagement, community participation, and building positive partnerships through integrated river basin management\xc2\xb7 To establish links with community groups and engage them in the project through a series of activities, workshops, events, and initiatives that lead to project sustainability.\xc2\xb7 Work with existing and new stakeholders, including the government, private sector, university, community, and public to plan and deliver outcomes that help increase a greater sense of stakeholder ownership in integrated river basin management.\xc2\xb7 Contribute to the planning and development of materials for sustainable water resource management, including the implementation of a local biodiversity action plan, river water quality and river health, resource management, and climate change.\xc2\xb7 Able to support, organize, and contribute to GEC\xe2\x80\x99s environmental education and awareness program.\xc2\xb7 Assist in the discussion, preparation, and development of projects, collaborations, and CSR activities.\xc2\xb7 To support project communication as a key face among the local community and stakeholders during the project planning, implementation, and sustainability phases.Job Requirement\xc2\xb7 Based in Ipoh, Perak.\xc2\xb7 Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in teams.\xc2\xb7 Flexible to work long hours and weekends as required.\xc2\xb7 Strong communication skills\xc2\xb7 Minimum Degree in environmental conservation or equivalent.\xc2\xb7 Experience with environmental project management and environmental education is desirable and advantageous.\xc2\xb7 Minimum 2 years of working experiences\xc2\xb7 Fluent in a minimum of two (2) languages, English and Malay, with good writing and communication skills.\xc2\xb7 Willingness to travel and be independent at the project site.\xc2\xb7 Driving license and own transport is an advantage.\xc2\xb7 IT competent in word, spreadsheet, and social media content creation.
