- Undertaking the necessary engineering survey, designs and technical investigations, including preparation of plans, detailed cost estimates and specifications. - Provide knowledge and skills to advise on a wide range of technical and project coordination challenges. - Provide technical assistance as and when required. - Assist in the Project Management to ensure outcomes, timing, budget and other associated objectives are met in accordance with best practices. - Facilitate the investigation, development, establishment, prioritization and monitoring of programs including preparation of budget proposals. - To provide preliminary advice to clients and/or their 3rd Party vendors in relation to likely engineering requirements, statutory requirements and policies and plans for developments. - Work with clients in arriving at flexible and innovative engineering solutions pertaining to project proposals. - Provide written advice in accordance with required timelines and in accordance with statutory requirements and policies in relation to engineering requirements for project proposals. - Approval of engineering plans submitted by developer\xe2\x80\x99s consultants in accordance with required timelines and standards where at all times facilitates a solution focused environment in relationships with external consultants. - Ensure all appropriate actions are taken to implement occupational health and safety, measures, procedures, policies, and legislative requirements. - Maintain knowledge of policies, current best practice and challenges in municipal civil engineering - Carry out implementation and maintenance of Quality Procedures associated with the design and investigation works.
