Coordinate logistical, administrative, and operational aspects of construction projects, including liaising with customers to understand project requirements and track progress.
Plan work sequences and manpower deployment for site activities.
Attend meetings and communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve design or on-site issues during the construction phase.
Supervise site workers and monitor subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Conduct quality checks and inspections at both the workshop and site.
Ensure efficient use of manpower, raw materials, and consumables at construction sites.
Monitor project progress to ensure timely completion in line with approved drawings, budgets, and deadlines.
Troubleshoot technical issues or delays that may arise on-site and implement appropriate solutions.
Ensure all work complies with safety protocols and established work procedures.
Manage inventory and oversee the maintenance of tools and equipment for both the shop floor and project sites.
Prepare and consolidate necessary documentation for inspections, site work, and claims.
Provide regular progress reports to the project team.
Prepare Method of Statement (MOS) and Method Statement Risk Assessment (MSRA) presentations for client review.
Anticipate project risks or challenges and collaborate with the team on preventive measures.
Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in structural steel projects.
Diploma or higher qualification in a relevant field.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Experience with AutoCAD and/or Tekla is an advantage.
Able to communicate effectively in both English and Mandarin (to liaise with local and overseas clients).
Willing to work in outdoor environments and construction sites.
