SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
To support the Project Manager in the execution of technical investment and improvement projects, with focus on coordination, documentation, progress tracking, HSE compliance, quality assurance, and cost control. The role will assist in ensuring projects are delivered according to Jotun standards, within the approved budget and timeline, while liaising with internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.
This role will be based in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan and reporting to Project Manager.
Responsibilities:Support the Project Manager in managing technical investment projects from design to completion, in accordance with Jotun standards and requirements.
Assist in coordinating project activities with consultants, contractors, internal departments, and relevant HQ/Regional functions.
Support the implementation and documentation of Jotun's investment stage gate processes.
Assist in monitoring project progress, schedules, and cost development, and highlight deviations or risks for timely action.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, drawings, and records throughout the project lifecycle.
Support contract administration activities, including follow-up with consultants and contractors in line with Jotun contract requirements.
Assist in procurement activities, including technical clarifications, evaluations, and coordination with Purchasing.
Support HSE, quality, and compliance requirements by ensuring project activities follow Jotun policies, procedures, and local regulations.
Contribute to risk identification and mitigation by providing inputs and follow-ups during project execution.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing ideas, lessons learned, and documentation using the Jotun Operations System.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER
Qualifications:3-5 years' experience in project support/engineering (construction, renovation, or factory projects preferred).
Able to read and interpret drawings; knowledge of production machineries and construction/renovation processes.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent; background/exposure in Electrical or Mechanical engineering, and PMP certification is an advantage.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Intermediate/advanced level in AutoCAD; basic knowledge of MS Project.
Exposure or basic understanding in Quantity Surveying (taking off, construction contract interpretation) and project procurement.
Experience tracking tasks, schedules, and project documentation.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
