Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Project & Schedule Management.

To plan, schedule, and monitor progress of assigned projects related to new component integration, vehicle electronic systems installation or body accessories localization/improvement, ensuring adherence to the schedule timeline. To prepare detailed progress reports of projects and project-related technical issues for management.

Design, Modelling, & Documentation

To lead the development, design, and selection of safety glass (e.g., windshields, side windows) and Fiberglass/FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) components (e.g., front rear cowl, roof panels, interior trim). To establish and manage supplier specifications for glass and fiberglass parts. To implement material and process improvements for fiberglass, focusing on durability, finish quality, weight reduction, and adhesion/mounting reliability to the main bus frame. To prepare and translate 3D models into comprehensive 2D fabrication drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), manuals, and work instructions for the production floor.

Engineering Analysis & Optimization:

Evaluates product's performance, quality, and durability and assists in the selection of specifications for the market.

Production & Quality Support

Provide technical support and perform the improvement/localization in terms of quality, durability, and cost-effectiveness of non-structural components, vehicle electronic systems, and fabrication processes. Evaluate product's performance, quality and the durability also to assist in the selection of specifications for the market. Directs and coordinates bus body fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer's specifications.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATION

Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a closely related technical field.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 1-2 year/s working experience in Automotive or Heavy Vehicle (Bus/Truck) body fabrication industry is highly preferred.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS

Technical Expertise:

High proficiency in 3D and 2D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, such as Catia, Solidworks, ZW3D ZWCAD, or equivalent high-end modelling tools. Familiarity with materials science related to composite (FRP/Fiberglass) and safety glass is a significant advantage.

Soft Skills:

Able to work independently with minimum supervision and manage project timelines effectively. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Language: Proficiency in Mandarin (written and spoken) is a distinct advantage, as it facilitates communication with international suppliers and partners.

Pay: RM3,200.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
