An established global water treatment company is seeking a Project Engineer. In this job, you will assist in ensuring successful planning and execution of their water treatment projects in the southern region.

About the Project Engineer Role:
A water systems engineering company is looking for a Project Engineer in ensuring the successful end-to-end delivery of water system projects in agreed time, cost, and quality, with zero safety incidents. You will be working closely with stakeholders such as the client\'s engineering and procurement team, internal sales team, and project vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor quality, schedule and budget of the projects and drive mitigation in case of deviations
• Manage and execute projects in collaboration with equipment supplier, contractors, and client teams
• Liaise with the local authority on permit applications and follow up
• Support sales team on technical details and present technical details to clients when necessary
• Perform engineering calculations such as power consumption, pipe flow calculations, and tank capacity calculations
• Be familiar with and able to troubleshoot simple single phase electrical systems
• Provide training to technicians and engineers at sit and also conduct indoor training when necessary

To perform well as the Project Engineer, you will need to have strong interpersonal communication skills. You need to have project management experience in the water treatment or oil and gas industry, with experience in handling mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or relevant field of study
• Three years of project management experience within the water treatment or wastewater treatment industry
• Highly experienced AutoCAD user
• Open to travelling to project sites in the Southern region
• Proactive and independent in making decisions
• Good coordination and timely reporting skills
• Great communicator, highly analytical and attentive to detail
• Application is open to Malaysians and/or candidates with existing right to employment in Malaysia
